Brief History
- The wicket was laid in 1953, by Reg & Don Thorne, friendly cricket was then played for 6 years.
- The club was then reformed in 1960 by a younger generation and continued to play friendlies.
- In 1963 we joined the Salisbury & District League, which eventually merged into the Hampshire League.
- League cricket was then played until 1994
- No cricket was played between 1994 and 2000
- In 2001 John Butler (Landlord of the White Hart) formed a pub team called the White Hart.
- 20 Over cricket was played on Monday nights
- The Village purchased Bishopstone Playing Field from the Newcastle Estates in 2003
- In 2004 the Cricket Club reverted to its Original name, Bishopstone Cricket Club.
- In 2005 half the matches were weekend fixtures.
- Fixtures for 2007 are mainly 20 over cricket.
- The descision to stay non-league, still stands.
